Homelessness

Quite simply, the statistics are staggering. One in ten people in England say they have personal experience of homelessness; and the number of people sleeping rough in King’s Lynn and Great Yarmouth has doubled in the last five years.

Imagine Norfolk Together supports a number of different projects to help people who are experiencing homelessness. These include winter night shelters and centres that provide relief for immediate needs such as food, clothing and healthcare. We also signpost to organisations offering help with securing benefits, financial advice and employment.

Here Anna and Andrew introduce the night shelters in Great Yarmouth and King's Lynn. This film was made in 2018, since then the shelters have developed their facilities and increased their capacity. They are the only emergency, open access, shelters in the towns.
